Hsinchu, Taiwan, R.O.C., December 28, 2009 – STAr Technologies announces that KVD's M2 mixed signal test platform has been chosen for high volume manufacturing by top-tier power management IC design house and a key outsourced assembly and test (OSAT) company. KVD's high performance cost effective test system companied by STAr's excellent high quality application service and support capability are the key factors in winning these multi-system orders. This is an important milestone for the partnership between KVD and STAr in penetrating the Taiwan power management IC market.
STAr's excellent engineering capabilities have put KVD's test system in the winning league against industry well-known ATE competitors. By successfully collaborating sales and engineering efforts in Taiwan, STAr and KVD have put up a winning team to demonstrate the superior performance, parallel test throughput efficiency and ease of use of the test system. On-site benchmark has shown that KVD's test system improves test throughput by more than 40% in comparison with incumbent tester from leading ATE vendor. KVD's test system combines precise analog VI resources, per-channel TMU, high density digital board, and friendly user interface designs to meet power management IC customers' demanding requirements.
