Choon-Leong LOU (Ph.D.)
Chief Executive Officer, STAr Technologies

Choon-Leong LOU has served as CEO since founding STAr in 2000.  He is responsible for charting overall strategies and R&D within the group. Before founding the company, he last served as Asia Business Manager in Agilent Technologies.  He holds B. Eng. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore in 1994 and 1997, respectively. He has obtained EMBA degree from Golden Gate University in 1999.  Dr. Lou was honored with the 2001 Outstanding Enterprise Leadership of the Republic of China Award from the MOE Taiwan and was also awarded with the Young Business Start-up Award 2003 by Shell Live-WIRE in Singapore.

 

Tom WANG
President, Probing Solutions Business Unit, STAr Technologies

Tom WANG serves as President of the Probe Solutions Business Unit.  He joined our group in 2004 overseeing the development of the business.  He was the Chairman of TMS Technologies, a semiconductor testing company from 1998 to 2004.  Before TMS, he was the investment manager in China Venture Management and has involved with various IPO and M&A projects.  Tom graduated from National Tsing Hua University in 1989 with a Bachelor degree in Material Science.  He has obtained Master degree (Engineering) from National Chiao Tung University and a MBA degree from National Chengchi University.

 

Paul CHEN
President, Automatic Test Equipment Business Unit, STAr Technologies
Paul CHEN joined our group in 2002 and now serves as President of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Business Unit.  He is responsible for the business development, sales and technical support of all ATE related products within the group.  He started his career with DuPont Electronic Materials in 1997 and was promoted as Marketing Leader of Print Circuit Material Business Unit.  During 2000 to 2002, he served as a department manager of sales and marketing functions in Synergy High Tech, a manufacturer of lithium polymer battery.  Paul Chen graduated from National Taiwan University in 1992 with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and obtained a MBA degree from National Chengchi University in 1997.

 

Yu-Ming CHIEN
President, Test & Measurement Business Unit, STAr Technologies
Yu-Ming CHIEN is the co-founder and serves as President of Test & Measurement Business Unit since founding STAr in 2000.  He is responsible for the sales and engineering supporting of parametric and reliability test systems.  Before founding the company, he was the Senior Application Engineer with Agilent Technologies from 1996, and was promoted as Account Manager in 1999 before founding STAr.  He was awarded with HP High Achievers and HP Outstanding Engineer in 1998 and 1997.  Yu-Ming obtained Bachelor degree (Control Engineering) from National Chiao Tung University in 1994 and Master degree (Electronic Engineering) from National Chiao Tung University in 1996.

 

Jeremy KO
Director, Operation Management Division, STAr Technologies
Jeremy KO joins STAr in 2004 and currently serves as Director of Operation Management Division.  He is responsible for the functions of administration, human resource, and production.  Prior to this, he worked in Panasonic Industrial Sales and Jardine Food Service charting their human resource strategies and plans.  His expertises are operations management and human resource.  He obtained his Bachelor degree (Psychology) from SooChow University, Taiwan, in 1995.

 

Lydia CHENG
Financial Controller, STAr Technologies
Lydia CHENG joins STAr in 2004 and currently serves as the Financial Controller of STAr Technologies.  She oversees accounting, financial reporting and the implementation and monitoring of internal controls.  Lydia was the assistant manager of the audit department with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Taiwan for eight years before joining STAr.  She holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Tunghai UniversityTaiwan, in 1996.

 

Bernard TAN
General Manager, Singapore Operations, STAr-Quest Technologies

Bernard TAN joins STAr as the General Manager of Singapore Operations in 2009.  Prior to joining STAr, he was the Sales Director for the Asia Pacific region for MicroE Division of GSI Group since 2001. Bernard started his career in Agilent Technologies as an Application Engineer in 1994. He moved to the Sales team in 1996 and left as a Senior Account Manager in 2001. Whist in Agilent, he has received the Agilent High Achievers Awards in 1997 and 1999.  Bernard holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Oregon State University.

 

Byong-Sun CHOI
Deputy General Manager, Korea Operations, STAr Technologies Korea
Byong-Sun CHOI joins STAr Korea as sales manager in 2002 and serves as Deputy General Manager of Korea since 2010, overseeing the development of STAr Korea subsidiary. Prior to that, he has been the regional project manager of semiconductor test equipment department in Agilent Technologies, Korea. He has also been the material engineer to manage of supply chain and product quality of HP Korea since 1997. Byong-Sun CHOI graduated from KookMin University in 1997 with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

 

Kazunori NISHITSURU
General Manager, Japan Operations, i-STAr Technologies

Kazunori NISHITSURU joins STAr group as the General Manager of Japan subsidiary from January, 2010. Kazunori's extensive experience includes design, manufacturing and marketing of precision instruments for semiconductor system LSI, including HP4145A - the world's first parameter analyzer, the HP4062 series parametric tester, etc.  He has held several senior management positions in Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies, Japan.  Kazunori holds his Bachelor degree in physics from the National University of Japan and has been granted several US patents.

 

Vytenis VEITAS
CEO, US Operations, KVD Company
Vytenis VEITAS is a co-founder in 1987 and manages all facets of the company’s operations.  Mr. Veitas is the co-architect of the KVD system product line.  Prior to KVD, he worked as an Application Engineer with Axiom Technology (later merged forming Credence Systems) and LTX Corporation where he developed telecom and mixed signal test solutions.  Mr. Veitas holds a BSEE from Northeastern University.

  

Peter E. DeHOLLAN
President, US Operations, KVD Company
Peter E. DeHOLLAN is a co-founder of KVD and responsible for product engineering.  Prior to founding KVD in 1987, he was founder and Manager of Applications Engineering with Axiom Technology.  Prior to Axiom, he held various engineering and marketing management positions at LTX.  Before LTX he worked at Teradyne where he began his engineering career, first under a work study program and after graduation as a design engineer in the linear product group.  He holds a BSEE from Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts.
