Chairman & CEO, STAr Technologies
Choon-Leong LOU (Ph.D.) has served as CEO since founding STAr in 2000. He is responsible for charting overall strategies and R&D within the group. Before founding the company, he last served as Asia Business Manager in Agilent Technologies. He holds B. Eng. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from National University of Singapore in 1994 and 1997, respectively. He has obtained EMBA degree from Golden Gate University in 1999. Dr. Lou was honored with the 2001 Outstanding Enterprise Leadership of the Republic of China Award from the MOE Taiwan and was also awarded with the Young Business Start-up Award 2003 by Shell Live-WIRE in Singapore.
Yu-Ming CHIEN簡裕民
President, Test & Measurement Business Unit, STAr Technologies
Yu-Ming CHIEN is the co-founder and serves as President of Test & Measurement Business Unit since founding STAr in 2000. He is responsible for the sales and engineering supporting of parametric and reliability test systems. Before founding the company, he was the Senior Application Engineer with Agilent Technologies from 1996, and was promoted as Account Manager in 1999 before founding STAr. He was awarded with HP High Achievers and HP Outstanding Engineer in 1998 and 1997. Yu-Ming obtained Bachelor degree (Control Engineering) from National Chiao Tung University in 1994 and Master degree (Electronic Engineering) from National Chiao Tung University in 1996.
Paul CHEN, 陳信榮
President, Automatic Test Equipment Business Unit, STAr Technologies
Paul CHEN joined our group in 2002 and now serves as President of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Business Unit. He is responsible for the business development, sales and technical support of all ATE related products within the group. He started his career with DuPont Electronic Materials in 1997 and was promoted as Marketing Leader of Print Circuit Material Business Unit. During 2000 to 2002, he served as a department manager of sales and marketing functions in Synergy High Tech, a manufacturer of lithium polymer battery. Paul Chen graduated from National Taiwan University in 1992 with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and obtained a MBA degree from National Chengchi University in 1997.
Lydia CHENG, 鄭婉萍
Financial Controller, STAr Technologies
Lydia CHENG joins STAr in 2004 and currently serves as the Financial Controller of STAr Technologies. She oversees accounting, financial reporting and the implementation and monitoring of internal controls. Lydia was the assistant manager of the audit department with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Taiwan for eight years before joining STAr. She holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from Tunghai University, Taiwan, in 1996.
Byong-Sun CHOI, 최병선
General Manager, Korea Operations, STAr Technologies Korea
Byong-Sun CHOI joins STAr Korea as sales manager in 2002 and currently serves as General Manager of Korea, overseeing the development of STAr Korea subsidiary. Prior to that, he has been the regional project manager of semiconductor test equipment department in Agilent Technologies, Korea. He has also been the material engineer to manage of supply chain and product quality of HP Korea since 1997. Byong-Sun CHOI graduated from KookMin University in 1997 with a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
President, US Operations, STAr-Edge Technologies, Inc.
Dan Hicks was Principal Designer and Engineering Manager at STAr-Edge (Formerly STAr-KVD) for the last 18 years, has been instrumental in development of new instruments and architectures and management of the group’s Research and Development. He also served in the US Army Reserves for 16 years, departing with the rank of Major. Dan earned his education with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Gonzaga University in 1993, followed up with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from UCSD (University of California – San Diego) in 1997.
Wei LIU刘巍
President, China Operations, STAr Technologies (Wuhan) Co., Ltd.
Wei LIU joined STAr Singapore in 2010 as a project manager. With his excellent leadership, he was assigned to establish STAr subsidiary in People's Republic of China in 2011. He currently serves as Deputy General Manager of STAr Wuhan with charter to lead the R&D, sales and service support teams in China. Prior to this, he worked as senior software engineer at Panasonic Factory Solutions Singapore. Wei LIU received Ph. D. in Mechanical Enginnering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2005 and obtained B. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China in 1999.
Joey Wu吳堅州
Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, STAr Technologies
Joey WU joins STAr as Vice President of Business Development and Global Marketing since 2017 responsible for growing probe card business and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining STAr, Joey has wide experiences with first 10 years in automations, following by 14 years in multi-roles across R&D, Designs, Manufacturing, Precision Machining, Marketing, and finally as the President special assistant for MPI Corporation in probe cards. Joey received the BS in Mechanical Engineering from NKIT in 2009 and certificate of studies for Master in Precision and Automation from National Chiao Tung University in 2011.
